Saturday Video Parade
We start things off on this dreary Saturday with an absolutely peppy new song by The Strokes. “Under The Cover Of Darkness” is the first single from the band’s long awaited new album, Angles, which will hit stores on March 22. We can definitely hear that Casablancas and co. are returning to the sound that won over so many of their fans when the band first emerged onto the scene back in 2001. We’ve also got some great new videos by Arctic Monkeys, The Black Lips, La Sera, Wavves and much more. Check it all out after the jump.
This Week In Montreal
An early spring has been predicted by all the major players in the groundhog industry and so there is reason to be happy, even though we’re still digging our way out of the dumping of snow we received on Saturday night. The other reason to be happy is that the month of February is lining up to be an incredible month for live music in Montreal. This week, along with locals Robertson and The Wind Up Radio Sessions, we will hear from renowned saxophonist Colin Stetson at La Sala Rossa on Thursday and Brooklyn based producer Machinedrum of Friday at Lambi. Here’s our full list of highlights for this week in Montreal.
