For those of you who wouldn’t know it (most of you, I presume) Concordia University once offered a summer course on exactly this: Montreal Festival Culture. I have no way of verifying whether or not Pop Montreal made it’s way to the course syllabus, but I sure hope so, because it’s one of the best festivals the city has to offer (though I hold a soft spot for that which is the totally rad Suoni Per Il Popolo). Over the years Pop Montreal has brought in some truly memorable artists to perform some truly memorable shows, and this year, from September 21st to the 25th, Pop Montreal will continue this tradition by celebrating a decade of fun.
