Pop Montreal Preview Part 4 (Saturday, Oct. 2)
Day four at Pop Montreal 2010 is one of both joy and sadness. Joy because, to be perfectly frank, there are some bitchin’ shows happening on this night. And sadness because the fourth day of Pop Montreal is the second to last day of the cities most awesome music festival. This Week in Montreal: POP Special Edition
It’s time to rest up. This Wednesday marks the start of the 9th annual POP Montreal Festival, and there’s lots to see in the following 5 days. Yet we’re jumping the gun, we can’t forget about a noteworthy batch of shows kicking off this busy week including Best Coast (who’s more famous at this point frontwoman Beth Cosentino or her cat Snacks?), Eels and Foals. Come Wednesday, you’re going to need a game-plan to tackle the endless shows that will be happening around the city. Pop Montreal Preview Part 3 (Friday, Oct. 1)
Can’t make it to the first or second day of Pop Montreal? Well, the third time is always considered to be a charm. Speaking of which, what a charming line-up we have for October 1st! Pop Montreal Preview – Part 2 (Thursday, Sept. 30)
The second day of Pop Montreal takes place this year on Thursday, September 30th. While day one offered us some really interesting shows we are going to go out on a limb and say day 2 at Pop Montreal this year will be the best day of the festival. One after another, we’ve got a stacked lineup on day 2 which will obviously lead to some very tough decisions on your part. We would like to try and make those decisions a little easier by giving you our picks for a busy day 2 at Pop Montreal 2010.
Pop Montreal Preview Part 1 (Wednesday, Sept. 29)
It’s that time of year again! That’s right, we are only just over a week away from our city’s best music festival. Since Pop Montreal‘s inception back in 2002 it has continued to grown and get better year after year. This year’s Pop Montreal Festival will run from Wednesday, September 29th through until Sunday, October 3rd and it’s looking like this will be the best year yet. Leading up to the festival we are going to be doing a five part festival preview, starting with the festival’s opening night, next Wednesday. Here is our preview of day one at Pop Montreal 2010.

Grimes Set To Drop New Album at Pop Montreal
This year’s Pop Montreal Festival will be amazing for a lot of reasons. Sure a lot of great bands from out of town are coming in to play this year’s festival but what’s even better is how many of the city’s best local bands will be showcased this year. One of these great locals goes by the name of Grimes. And better yet, Grimes will be dropping her sophomore LP, Halfaxa, at this year’s fest as a part of the Arbutus Records showcase that will take place on Thursday, September 30th at the lovely Rialto Theatre.
