Phantogram – Casa Del Popolo – Saturday, July 10th, 2010
The concert-going experience is composed of several crucial elements. There is the show itself; the lights, the music, and the hush of the crowd. Then there is the conviviality of the event; the pre-show drink, the mid-show smoke, and the post-show outdoor congregation. One of the most overlooked elements is the expectations one has going into the show, and how these expectations are self-actualized or unfulfilled.

Phantogram – Eyelid Movies
Saratoga Springs, NY electronic duo Phantogram, who have been making waves all over the blogosphere lately as well at venues all over North America and who have opened for the likes of Zero 7, Yeasayer and Minus The Bear have finally delivered their captivating and mesmerizing debut; Eyelid Movies (Barsuk Records). Interview: Phantogram
Before Saratoga Springs’ Phantogram took the stage at Il Motore on Sunday, February 21st, we had a chance to catch up with the duo’s two members, Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter. Phantogram – Il Motore – Sunday, February 21st
A short while after interviewing Phantogram’s Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter and getting a bite to eat, I headed back to catch their show, as they played Il Motore last night. As well as the band headlining their first tour, it was also their first ever trip to La Belle Province. Being a fairly new band, it was to be seen what the turn out would be like for the show, and let’s just say, the attendance was not just, because Phantogram gave their limited audience nothing short of an intensely entertaining performance.
