TV On The Radio Design Shirt for Montreal Charity
As if TV on the Radio weren’t already cool enough, the Brooklyn based 5-piece has recently designed a lovely new t-shirt for our friends at The Yellow Bird Project. The proceeds from the shirt will go to Partners in Health, an organization that has been one of the leaders in getting Haiti back on it’s feet after the devastating earthquake that hit last month. Busking For Change Is Today!
The schedule for this year’s Busking For Change event, which will take place today at various metro stations around Montreal, has been announced and it contains some pretty notable names. Among the artists that will be performing are Amy Millan (of Stars), Jason Bajada, David Martel, Patrick Krief (ex-guitarist of The Dears) and Winter Gloves. An Evening With Stars – eXcentris – Tuesday, February 16th, 2010
Last night, Stars performed their first show in over a year at eXcentris as a benefit for War Child. This organization is geared towards helping war-torn children around the world by creating homes and communities, as well providing education. After the invitation, Amy Milan got straight to work and invited some of their musical friends along as surprise guests, putting together a feast of musical talent and an altogether beautiful night.

Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue Benefit – La Sala Rossa – Friday, January 22
This Friday, several local artists got together at La Sala Rossa to help launch the fund raising campaign for Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue and The Red Hot Veterinary Clinic to support local abandoned animals.

Pop Montreal & Partners in Health Haiti Benefit Concert – Club Lambi – January 17th, 2010
Last night, Club Lambi hosted Pop Montreal’s benefit show for Haiti, with all proceeds going to Partners in Health. Partners in Health is a United-States based organization that supply health services to Haitians for over twenty years ago. Not only do they focus on the citizen’s health issues, they try as much as possible to create a safer, healthier living environment to improve their overall quality of life. This night at Lambi embodied everything that PIH stands for.
