Interview: BRAHMS
Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, BRAHMS has had a dynamic head start on their electronic music career. They played their very first show for 3,000 people on a supporting spot for electropop sweethearts Passion Pit and haven’t looked back since. Now the trio are set to embark on a North American tour in support of Asobi Seksu – and they will be bringing their danceable jams right here to Montreal at Casa del Popolo this Saturday, February 26th.
We spoke with singer Cale Parks this week on dealing with instant success, his penchant for electronic rhythms, and BRAHMS’ upcoming debut 7″ release and full-length in the works.

Cymbals Eat Guitars, Bear In Heaven and Freelance Whales played Il Motore last night to a receptive crowd. Very receptive, in fact. For the most part, the show was heartwarming and very engaging, with all three acts expressing their appreciation of the audience’s endless applause. Stars Release New Single: “Fixed”
Well they are at it again. Canadian indie-rock band Stars have recently released the details for their fifth studio album, which will be called The Five Ghosts, and will be released on June 22nd, but now they are giving us a sneak peak at what the album will sound by offering up the first single as a free download.

Think About Life Release New Video For “Havin’ My Baby”
Montreal’s Think About Life have just released a brand new video for the insanely catchy “Havin’ My Baby” from their debut album, Family. This song is one of the most exciting songs released within the last year so it’s only fitting that they made it into a video. While you may be expecting to see Martin Cesar and company playing instruments and dancing around like they do during their amazing live performances, you will be surprised to see that not one band member is present in this video. That doesn’t make this video any less fun however.
Peter Gabriel Announces Montreal Spring Date, Covers Arcade Fire
After a long wait of seven years (who are we kidding, this is the standard delayed return), Peter Gabriel is returning to Montreal. Announced on Peter Gabriel’s official website, he plays the Bell Centre on April 28, 2010 in support of his forthcoming covers album Scratch My Back. Read more…
