La Sala Rossa hosted a peaceful, yet truly deep show last night. The entire audience packed into the venue and were present nice and early, in order to catch all of Sweet Mother Logic‘s album launch. Interview: Armen at the Bazaar
My first encounter with Armen at the Bazaar was through SouthernSouls.ca. His song, “Drive With Me”, instantly pulled me into a pleasantly chaotic soundscape where I envisioned streetlights dancing before my eyes as I drove alongside Armen at the Bazaar ”high on speed” . Those who give his art a listen will nay be disappointed. His voice beckons and his beats entrance, evoking emotion and movement. Watching him deliver his pieces with passion greatly enhances the experience. His EP Noor both entices us to dance and sing along, and I had the pleasure to quickly interview Armen before his show at Sala Rossa tonight.
Hey Ocean! – Divan Orange – 30.06.11
On Monday June 27th, 2011, Hey Ocean!, Sweet Mother Logic and Folly & the Hunter played at Divan Orange. The night started out slowly with not many people in the venue, but as it got darker outside, a decent crowd accumulated.
This Week In Montreal
When all is said and done today we will have a nice fresh blanket of 20 centimeters of snow covering our city. This should make things interesting for those of us that like to go to concerts on a regular basis.
