The F in Fresh
This Week In Montreal
We’ve an eclectic week of shows ahead of us this week in Montreal. Rock, pop, soul, electronica, folk…pretty much whatever you’re in the mood for can be found at one of the many venues around the city. Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings will be making a highly anticipated return to Montreal on Tuesday night at Metropolis in order to spread the message that R&B isn’t dead. Spencer Krug’s solo project, Moonface, will take full flight on Thursday night at Il Motore and Tune-Yards play the very next night at La Sala Rossa. Here’s all the highlights for the week…
Sweet Mother Logic’s Sensory Overload – Petit Campus – Friday, March 12th, 2010
Last night was the highly anticipated Sweet Mother Logic Sensory Overload concert at Petit Campus. I must admit that I didn’t really know what I was in for as I walked through the doors and was handed a pair of 3D glasses but by the end of the night it was clear that last night’s show was like none other I had ever experienced.
The Hoof & The Heel – Casa Del Popolo – Sunday, January 17th
Last night, Casa Del Popolo’s brand new concert hall played host to some of Montreal’s most exciting up-and-coming bands. Cinéma L’amour would lead things off, followed by The F in Fresh, followed by the night’s headliners, The Hoof & The Heel.
A Look Ahead (Part 1)
Since it’s going to be a pretty quiet few weeks with the holidays coming up and not many shows in the city we figured a good way to get excited about the new year would be to take a look ahead at some of the incredible shows we have coming up this winter and into spring. This is the first part in a three part series so be sure to check back for part 2 where we will take a look into the end of winter and the beginning of spring.
