Day 3 at Osheaga 2011 may go down in history as one of the best days in Osheaga history. Hour after hour and band after band, Sunday started on a high and ended on an even higher high as the 2011 edition of the festival came to a close in grandiose fashion. This is it folks! The final day of Osheaga 2011 is rapidly approaching and it appears the Osheaga crew has saved the best for last this year. What a lineup we have in store for Sunday. This Week In Montreal
While there isn’t much going on in the city tonight, strap your boots on because from Tuesday on the week will just get better and better. Tuesday, Friday and Saturday will be especially tough days to choose a concert since there are at least three great options each night but if you are looking for a show on Wednesday night we’d like to turn your attention to the Arbutus Records fundraiser that will be going on at Casa Del Popolo. The local label will be raising money for the release of Tonstartssbandht‘s Now I Am Become LP that will be released in May and along with Andy Summers from the band performing, Makeout Videotape and Pop Winds will also play. This Week in Montreal
We’ve got another great week of shows lined up for this week in Montreal. The week kicks off with Yann Tiersen who is well known for his film score composition work (Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amelie Poulain, Good Bye Lenin!), and just keeps going with great show after great show. Venue of the Month: La Sala Rossa
It is going to be an extremely busy September in Montreal. Not only will there be an abundance of shows around our city but there will be enough great shows to make your head spin. This simple fact made choosing a venue of the month extremely difficult but after carefully surveying all the venues in the city we had to go with the lovely Sala Rossa. Kele of Bloc Party, Efterklang, The Do, Foals, Bear In Heaven and School of Seven Bells are just a few of the great bands playing at Sala this month.
