Pop Montreal Unveils First 2010 Show Dates
A few days ago we got word of the first few bands that will be playing this year’s Pop Montreal Festival that will take place at various venues around Montreal between September 29th and October 3rd. Pop Montreal Unveils Initial 2010 Lineup
Thanks to the folks at Brooklyn Vegan we now have a sneak peak at who will be playing this year’s Pop Montreal Festival, which will take place at various locations around Montreal between September 29th and October 3rd. It’s kind of strange that the news is being brought to us first from Brooklyn, New York, but hey, whatever works!

This Week in Montreal
We’ve got yet another incredible week of shows lined up in Montreal this week. While you may notice the week will start off a little slow, by the end of the week there are so many great shows happening you’re not gonna know what to do with yourself. Take this Thursday for example. Are you going to go see Horse Feathers at Divan Orange, Timber Timbre & The Luyas at La Tulipe, The Album Leaf & Sea Wolf at the Cabaret or Joseph Arthur at La Sala Rossa. Not to mention Lullabye Arkestra is also playing at Casa Del Popolo the same night! These are just a handful of shows, all happening this week in Montreal.

Passovah 2 Year Anniversary – Il Motore – Saturday, February 6th
Last night was the long awaited Passovah 2 year anniversary party, featuring performances by two of Montreal’s best bands, Shapes & Sizes and The Luyas. The night was a huge success. Not only did we get to see some great performances but the mood was light, everyone was happy and a good time was had by all.

Venue of the Month: Il Motore
It was a bit tough to choose our venue of the month for February, because of how many great shows are taking place throughout the city this month. But after much deliberation, we have chosen Il Motore, for the second time in three months, as our venue of the month of February.
M For Montreal: Day 1
M For Montreal kicked off in brilliant fashion, with the Cabaret playing host to a group of great Canadian bands. On Day 1 of the festival we would hear from Final Flash, The Luyas, Miracle Fortress, The Rural Alberta Advantage, You Say Party! We Say Die! and Think About Life. Read more…
