The Strokes
Saturday Video Parade!
Hilarious video kings, The Lonely Island, have been hinting at a new album for some time now. When they released a new video featuring Akon called “I Just Had Sex” we knew this was for real. Well just today, the band have released their latest insanity called “We’re Back”, a song that mostly just makes fun of each band member’s genitalia. But nevertheless, the song title says it all; the boys are back and lead things off for us on this week’s Saturday Video Parade!
Saturday Video Parade
We start things off on this dreary Saturday with an absolutely peppy new song by The Strokes. “Under The Cover Of Darkness” is the first single from the band’s long awaited new album, Angles, which will hit stores on March 22. We can definitely hear that Casablancas and co. are returning to the sound that won over so many of their fans when the band first emerged onto the scene back in 2001. We’ve also got some great new videos by Arctic Monkeys, The Black Lips, La Sera, Wavves and much more. Check it all out after the jump.

It doesn’t matter whether you stole an inexpensive trinket, or a very valuable piece of merchandise; it is the fact that you are taking away something that already belongs to someone, hence something that is of sentimental value. Funeral Party To Open For Julian Casablancas
This Thursday, April 1st, Julian Casablancas will make his triumphant return to Montreal where he will play Le National. The lead Stroke‘s debut solo LP, Phrazes for the Young, is going strong as one of the best albums released in the last year, and I think it’s safe to say this will be quite the show. But that’s not all you have to be excited about. Be sure to show up early for this one as opening is a band that has been making huge waves lately; Los Angeles, California’s Funeral Party.
