This Week In Montreal

After a slow start to 2011, things really get going this week in Montreal with some really promising shows lined up. Twin Shadow makes his return to Montreal on Tuesday, and later in the week we will hear from The Besnard Lakes, VALLEYS and SUUNS. Then, to cap things off on Sunday, you can check out Tokyo Police Club and Two Door Cinema Club who will be co-headlining at Club Soda. There’s also a few interesting local acts taking the stage this week so be sure to check out those as well.

With 2010 slowly drawing to a close, its almost time again for what I look forward to for months, year-end lists. I can waste hours pouring through lists upon lists of favorite singles, best albums, best onstage meltdowns etc. Just a few days ago I decided to revisit some of last year’s ‘Best Of’ lists. What struck me the most is how much the music scene hasn’t changed all that much over the last two years.
