Saturday Video Parade!
We’ve got some heavy hitters on this week’s Saturday Video Parade. Radiohead surprised everyone at the beginning of the week when they announced that they would release their latest album, The King of Limbs, only four days later. That day was yesterday and along with the album’s release the band also released an odd little video to go along with the song “Lotus Flower”. So we’re kicking things off with Radiohead, but that is just one of the 19 brand new videos we’ve got for you this week.
Best Shows of 2010
2010 has been an amazing year for shows in Montreal thanks to our city’s wonderful concert promoters who have worked their butts off bringing in the worlds best musical talent for our viewing pleasure. After another meeting of the minds we have finally come up with a list of our top 10 shows of the year. This will be the final segment in our Best of 2010 series and we would like to take this time to thank all of you for making our first year running as special as it has been. It’s time for the second part in our “Best of 2010″ series. We’ve gone through our best songs and now it’s time to find out which albums really left their mark on us this year. It proved tough, and there are a lot of worthy albums that didn’t make the final 20 but each and every album that did make the list is quite deserving. Yeasayer – Le National – Sunday, May 2nd, 2010
Last night I had the chance to check out two noise-pop-rock buzz bands, Yeasayer and openers Sleigh Bells. Both acclaimed bands have had a busy 2010, with Yeasayer releasing their second LP Odd Blood, and Sleigh Bells promoting their debut album Treats – off M.I.A.’s N.E.E.T. label – which drops May 11.
